The Year of 2017.

It was sometime in the spring of 2005 when I received a phone call from Steve Stevens Sr., my agent (and only agent) letting me know I'd booked my first commercial. I don't remember everything in full, but I do remember my heart pounding, my hands sweating, and my first urge - to call my father to let him know the good news. I would be on TV! I'd gotten a part that would let me join the actors union in America! The joy and excitement and nervousness were almost too much.

Now roughly twelve and a half years later, (it's somewhat nuts to think that's all it's been) - I see what an unpredictable course can look like, and am grateful for every new twist, turn, loop, and sudden stop I've gotten to experience. Life is definitely like a box of chocolates - sometimes there can be a bonito-flavo(u)red one in there as well; and maybe it actually tastes good!

2017 had me living out of a suitcase longer than I've done before, and the total trek was tiring, yet took me to some truly enjoyable places as well. Acting definitely feels like a job and a hobby and a lifestyle choice as well; and I'm happy to get to play around, and never more eager to dive in than when everything feels slightly dangerous and unpredictable - such is life, right?

All in all, I'm glad to be where I am, and I'm thankful for everything that I've had thus far. Here's to 2018 and the great unknown ... let it come and continue to enjoy the ride!
