2018: NDAs, No Mobile Phones on Set or Base, No Call Sheets.
I provided the voice for one of these characters. We wore headgear that had cameras pointed at our faces so our facial reactions could be recorded. (I'm not certain I'm allowed to say much more than that as to how this project was created).
Granted, I think it's relatively easy to guess which character I ended up becoming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmqQHffQiaY
(That's a link to the Launch Video for Shattered State, a cinematic VR thriller for Google Daydream, by Supermassive Games).
Used to be I would put up on my homepage - the projects I've worked on and characters I've gotten the opportunity to play. Nowadays, unless it's a play or perhaps an independent film; most everything has Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) attached, and code names for the projects; until they are released, little can be said about them. Some of what I've worked on probably won't arrive until 2020 - others may never see the light of day.
Nevertheless, I am happy and grateful to be able to say it's been a productive and busy year. I've worked on so many video games (under code names) that I don't know which ones I'm actually in - including one I believe I voiced the main character. Films and TV came along, and I was happy to note that my character Nakamura made the final edit for season 3 of The Man in the High Castle.
Films and TV came along this year, along with a new project which will be keeping me on this side of the pond during pilot season 2019. I can't complain. All I can say is, look out or keep an ear open in 2019 - I'll be there!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
